Supreme Courts Declines Immigration Case

Today the Supreme Court declined to hear a case emanating from one of the nation's hotbeds of anti-immigrant laws.  The case was filed by the State of Arizona and its infamously bigoted Sheriff, Joe Arpaio. because the Ninth Court of Appeals struck down a 2006 Arizona law denying bail to immigrants convicted of felonies.  The lower court struck the case down on due process claims, and because the law was overly broad.  Apparently, the Supreme Court agreed with this reasoning because they rejected the appeal.  I'll bet Mr. Arpaio is mad as hell too, but I'm sure he'll live to hate another day.http://news.yahoo.com/u-top-court-declines-request-revive-arizona-immigration-135441968.html
